Welcome

The Garibotti Impact Foundation Trust (GIFT)

The Garibotti Impact Foundation Trust (GIFT) is a family-driven philanthropic initiative dedicated to raising funds in support of three core missions:

  • Empowering underprivileged youth to pursue post-secondary education or vocational training, with a focus on the trades, careers in social work, and support for young women entering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
  • Combating food insecurity by funding programs that ensure children and youth can focus on learning—not hunger.
  • Fostering reconciliation through meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities.

Rooted in Purpose. Guided by Journey. Driven by Mission

OUR ROOTS
GIFT was born from a family story not marked by privilege but by perseverance. Paul and Sandra Garibotti are children of immigrants who arrived in Canada with hope and grit. Both of their fathers began careers in construction, while their mothers defied societal norms to pursue paid work during a time when such ambition was often discouraged. From them, Paul and Sandra inherited a tenacious work ethic and a steadfast belief: with dedication and opportunity, anyone can change their circumstances.

OUR JOURNEY
Paul began his career in finance but soon found his calling in the construction industry. He started as an estimator, moved into partnership, and eventually founded Northfleet Concrete Floors—now proudly known as Northfleet Group.

Sandra embarked on a lifelong path in social work immediately after university. With 25 years of experience in child welfare, she witnessed firsthand the challenges youth face when leaving the care system and stepping into independence.

OUR MISSION IN ACTION
Supporting the Trades: GIFT is committed to easing the financial burden for individuals pursuing careers in the trades. With many facing upfront costs for tools, gear, and safety equipment, we provide funding for those who are ready to begin their journey but are held back by economic barriers. The trades are in growing demand, and we aim to make this path accessible to more determined individuals

Championing Social Work: To honor Sandra’s legacy and experiences, GIFT will offer bursaries to youth transitioning out of foster care who are pursuing a career in social work. We believe their lived experience equips them with unique empathy and insight—qualities that can profoundly impact the profession.

Advancing Women in STEM: Although women have made vital progress in STEM, obstacles persist. GIFT seeks to remove financial hurdles by offering bursaries to young women who wish to innovate, invent, and lead in science and technology.

Fighting Food Insecurity: Food insecurity impacts even working families, and its effect on children is particularly devastating. By supporting local food programs, GIFT ensures that students have the nourishment they need to thrive academically and personally.

Looking Ahead...

OUR ANNUAL TARGET: $100,000

Our goal is to award bursaries to 50 youth each year. This funding is more than financial aid—it’s an investment in the future of communities, professions, and individual lives.
